Dr. Ghassan Skaf

Ghassan Skaf, MD, FRCSC, FACS is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at Saint Joseph University, Beirut, Lebanon. He did his internship and residency training at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), USA, University of Toronto, Canada and Cleveland Clinic Foundation, USA. He then completed a fellowship in Spinal Neurosurgery at University of Toronto, Canada. Dr. Skaf has been practicing since 1998 at the American University of Beirut Medical Center and he is the Head of the Neurosurgery Department since 2006 till today. Dr. Skaf is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Neurological Surgery. The research interests of Dr. Skaf are in Spinal Cord Injuries, Complex Spine Surgeries, Neuro Navigation, and New Innovations in Spine Surgery, Spinal Instrumentation and Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgeries.

Dr. Hussein Abo Al Ghait

Prof. Hussein is the dean of faculty of medicine in Azhar university,he obtained a master’s degree in orthopedics in 1996, then obtained a scholarship to obtain PHD in spine surgery from one of the biggest spine centers in Germany. The new dean of the Faculty of Medicine also participated in many researches and lectures in the field of spine in Egypt, Germany, and various countries of the world.

For the fourth year in a row, he supervised the organization of the spine surgery conference at Al-Azhar Medicine, with the participation of the German side and the spine departments of Egyptian universities. He supervised many master’s and doctoral theses in orthopedics and spine at Al-Azhar University and other Egyptian universities. He has made significant scientific contributions in the field of orthopedic and spine surgeries locally, regionally and internationally.

Dr. Imad Hashem

Imad Hashim Ahmad received his MBChB from Mosul Medical College in Iraq in 1977, and passed his Primary F.R.C.S. Examination, Final F.R.C.S. Examination, and F.R.C.S. (Neurosurgery) at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

He is currently a Consultant Neurosurgeon at the Medical International Specialist Centre and is the Visiting Surgeon of the Mediclinic City Hospital , the Canadian Specialist Hospital & Burjeel hospital and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Dubai Medical College. He is an Adjuvant Professor of Neurosurgery in Sharjah Medical College. He is an Ex President of the Emirates Neuroscience Society and in April 2012, he was elected to the position of Education Neuro for AO Spine Middle East. He is currently is an education advisor for the AOSpine middle East. He is a reviewing editor for the The Global spine Journal.

Prof. Abdulmonem Alsiddiky

Dr. Sadeqi is professor at College of Medicine, King Saud University • Consultant Pediatric Orthopedic, Pediatric Spine and Spinal Deformities at King Khalid University Hospital (KKUH) In Riyadh-Saudi Arabi, he is the supervisor of research committee of scoliosis in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Sami AlEissa

Dr. Sami, is one of the most well recognized doctors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of orthopedic and spine surgery. He has performed many successful surgeries and important diagnostic procedures. Dr. Sami obtained a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from the College of Medicine at King Saud University in 2004, and received a board certification. in orthopedic surgery in 2010. He also obtained a spine surgery fellowship from the University of Turin in Italy, in 2013, and held many administrative positions.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al Kuwari

An Arab Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializes in the treatment of complex spinal conditions, including spinal injuries, vertebral tumors (internal diseases), deformities in adults and children, scoliosis, and severe degenerative diseases. He also specializes in invasive and complex open minimally invasive spine surgeries. His training program included orthopedic surgery, and he then received certified training in pediatric and adult spine.

Dr. Al Kuwari completed his studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, then worked as a resident physician in the Orthopedic Department at Hamad Medical Corporation. Dr. Al Kuwari completed a two-year complex spine surgery fellowship at the University of Western Ontario in Canada, then obtained a master’s degree in spine biomechanics from the same university.
